Every April, Dunebrook joins with communities around the nation to rally support for child abuse prevention. Child abuse thrives in secrecy, so the message needs to be heard, “If you know something, say something!”
We are partnering with Al’s Supermarkets, Kabelin’s Ace, Leed’s Public House and others who believe that keeping children safe is a top priority for our community.
An online auction, along with retail merchant and restaurant give backs, are in the works. We look forward to sharing more about the issues, our work and how you can get involved in giving children happy, healthy and safe childhoods.
We will be sharing more information about Dunebrook’s April activities and Child Abuse Prevention Month through social media, enews and area media outlets.
If you are concerned for a child’s safety, call Indiana’s Child Abuse hotline at 800/800-5556. You do not have to prove that abuse exists, just state what you know. Calls may be made anonymously. If you know a child who is in immediate danger, call 911.
