Today’s book suggestion is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin, Jr. and John Archambault, illustrated by Lois Ehler.
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is a fun colorful book that offers great rhythm, rhyme and repetition to help your children practice their alphabet. Chicka Chicka Boom Boom also offers a kind little lesson at the end about helping one another.
Today’s book suggestion is The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein.
The Giving Tree is and American classic by Shel Silverstein that demonstrates the importance of unconditional love. As parents and caregivers we often feel like the “Tree” in the story and that the constant sacrifices we are making for our children and family can feel over looked at times. The Giving Tree is a great reminder that unconditional love means not always getting a verbal “thank you” but rather embracing the gratification of unspoken appreciation (an important life lesson for our little ones).
Today’s book suggestion is Be Brave Little One by Marianne Richmond.
During this very uncertain time it is important as parents and role models to celebrate the bravery in all of us. Be Brave Little One is an important reminder that we all have courage. It is a perfect story for cheering someone on, and affirming how bravery can show up in all different ways!
