Prevent Child Abuse La Porte County

Preventing child maltreatment is a community-wide effort, and LaPorte County is home to many agencies, organizations, and individuals who are dedicated to working with children and families. Our county is one of a handful of select counties in Indiana that is working to roll out Indiana’s Framework for the Prevention of Child Abuse & Neglect.’ This Framework will help our county increase the effectiveness, alignment, and coordination of existing prevention efforts, as well as work together to identify new opportunities to support the resilience and well-being of all children and families in our county!

Dunebrook has held the charter for the Prevent Child Abuse Indiana (PCAIN) ‘Child Abuse Prevention Council’ in LaPorte County since 1989 and in Porter County since 2018. To learn more about Child Abuse Prevention Councils, see https://www.pcain.org/about-us/.
