A guide to what you need to know about Dragon Boats.
September 6, 2025 at Stone Lake in LaPorte with kickoff at 8:45am. Located at 300 Grangemouth Rd, LaPorte, with check in at the boat house.
-All supplies to paddle will be provided for you, including: boat, paddles, life jackets, and a drum.
-A professional steersman will guide your team during each race.
-Your captain will tell you when your practice date/time is for your team.
-Your captain will advise you what time your team’s first race is (sometime between 9:00AM-10:00AM).
-Your captain will pick out a bandana color for your team and all members will receive one. (Feel free to wear themed outfits, decorate your area, or anything else to stand out.)
-Feel free to bring lawn chairs, pop-up tents, etc. for your comfort throughout the day.
-Family & child-friendly activities will be available all day in addition to the races themselves.
Everyone has to have a signed waiver to get on a boat! At the event once we have the waiver you will receive a wristband.

Friday, September 5th.
-Nelson’s Port-A-Pit will be available from 4:00PM – 7:30PM on Friday (Advance ticket purchase is recommended).

-A bake sale will take place Friday near the Boat House.
